1966 Cooper Maserati T81 F1-5-66
Chassis 5 of seven built for the 1966 formula one season. This beautiful 3ltr Cooper powered by a Maserati 4-cam V12 engine and monocoque chassis was sold new to the brilliant private owner/driver Joakim Bonnier. Its first race at the 1966 BRDC International Trophy race in the May at Silverstone Jo came 3rd, a great start to his 66 season. Over the next couple of years, he campaigned well and managed a 1st place at the Coppa Autobil Revue at Monza 28th May 1967 and a couple of other podium finishes throughout his 2-year ownership. Joakim sold the car soon after its last race at the South African Grand Prix to the Donington Museum where it remained on show for 40 years. Exhibited at the 2011 Retromobile show Paris it sold shortly after. This unique car with limited ownership is ready and available.
