1967 Lotus Elan BRM Series 3 SE Coupe
The Lotus Elan was already a successful 2-seater sports car, following trends of other famous racing names BRM racing driver Mike Spence was the brain-child behind the Lotus Elan BRM.
There were less than 10 cars produced and sent in kit form to Mike Spence Ltd. The engines were modified by BRM with the engine blocks replaced by the LAA stamped blocks, re-bored and removing .020 from the top face. The crankshaft, flywheel, clutch, pistons and connecting rods were dramatically balanced, the inlet valves replaced by 1.550 inch diameter heads.
Offering here 006-2 a very rare and well-presented Lotus Elan BRM. It has been with the current owner for just over 11 years purchasing it from a local Lotus specialist. Restored in 2010 and shared floor space with sporting legends at the Donington Museum.
Well documented, good continuous history, having only 3 owners with very low mileage recorded and documented.
UK registered, original book pack and workshop manual. Spare wheel, battery cut-off switch fitted. The Interior trim is in fabulous condition, all in good working order.
